Are You A Wimbledon Wiz?

by Head Coach

Hey I’m glad you made it to the “Are You A Wimbledon Wiz?” entry page. There isn’t much time. So, let’s get right to it…

What do you get if you win?

The prize for this contest is none other than the only movie named after the wonderful tournament of Wimbledon – Wimblwimbledonmoviedvddec 1 Are You A Wimbledon Wiz?edon.

WIMBLEDON is a lighthearted romantic comedy set in the high-pressure world of professional tennis. Peter Colt (Paul Bettany) is a 31-year-old Englishman who was once ranked 11th in the world, but has now dropped to a pathetic 119th.

Realizing that his days are numbered, Peter intends to retire from the game after playing in one final Wimbledon.

But when he accidentally walks into the hotel room of rising American star Lizzie Bradbury (Kirsten Dunst), sparks begin to fly and Peter begins to find his touch on the court once again.

Unfortunately for Peter, Lizzie’s overbearing father, Dennis (Sam Neill), is well aware that Lizzie’s game suffers when she is distracted by love, and he bans the two from seeing each other.

This doesn’t bode well for Peter, who is about to play in the final against cocky American superstar Jake Hammond (Austin Nichols). Not to mention the fact that Peter has the hopes of an entire nation riding on his shoulders.

Loncraine’s breezy comedy is fueled by the chemistry between Bettany and Dunst, and also features several memorable supporting characters–including Peter’s bickering parents (Bernard Hill and Eleanor Bron), his goofy brother (James McAvoy), his practice partner (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau), and his cell phone-wielding agent (Jon Favreau).

Oh yea, this one is a lot of fun! So…

HOW DO YOU WIN?

I said I was going to put your tennis mind to the test, and I meant it. I’m actually going to ask you to do something that you may have tried to do for some time now.  I need you to predict the future.

CONTEST RULES:

1. Simply, predict who will be in the finals of either the men’s or women’s side of the Wimbledon draw.

2. Give your opinion on what you think the score will be and who ultimately will be the winner.

3. Post your thoughts and predictions in the comment section right below this page, and that’s it. You’re done!

If your prediction is closest to what actually happens this weekend, you’re the winner! It’s that easy. So, come on and work your mental magic.

NOTE: 1 Wimbledon DVD copy will be awarded for each side of the  draw. So, you actually have two chances to win. If you’re really hot and win both, I’ll send you a surprise bonus that you’re really going to like.

*To make it fair to everyone and make it really interesting, all entries must be posted below before the semi-final rounds are completed.

The winner will be notified within 24 hours of the trophy presentation, and the prize(s) will be shipped off the next morning.

Email me personally at webmaster@tennismindcamp.com if you have any questions.

Good luck guys!
