Avoid Ball To Body Contact In Your Next Tennis Match

213qhie Avoid Ball To Body Contact In Your Next Tennis MatchIf you find yourself directly in the pathway of an incoming ball (…one that looks like it’s been shot out of a rocket),  what do you do? Cry for help? Phone a friend?  Not at all icon smile Avoid Ball To Body Contact In Your Next Tennis Match .

For starters, you’re going to want to use your backhand to save your butt on this one.

The forehand will not only be ineffective,  but you’ll probably look a little silly at the same time, from the way your body will be forced to contort itself.

Now that we’ve established that, one way to handle this situation is to step away from its flight path with your front foot.

As you begin to shift your body’s weight onto that front foot, lean away from the oncoming ball, and extend your arm that”s holding the racket at the moment of contact.

Note: The higher the ball, the higher you want to take your racket back. Just remember, it’s going to be slightly higher than your average backhand groundstroke. So make sure you make that adjustment.

Have a great day and an even better game,

Brian
