As you’ve probably already heard, the 2011 Australian Open is officially under way.
Now, though there isn’t a doubt in my mind that many of the matches will be wildly entertaining (…with jaw-dropping shots coming from every angle), I don’t want you to just watch them as pure eye candy.
Sure, we’re all fans of the game. And I want you to have fun and enjoy the heck out of it. Jump up and down while cheering for your favorite player if you like. But I encourage you to do a little more, so you can truly get the most benefit out of these next two weeks.
I also want you to analyze these elite men and women and the tennis matches they play each round of this Australian Open from the viewpoint of the incredible competitor that you are.
That’s right, you need to be watching (…and absorbing) as much as possible with your mind as well. Why? Because we’re getting the pleasure of seeing the great ones battle against the worlds best – at no charge.
Australian Open, Only The Best Are Invited
That means, players like Roger Federer, Caroline Wozniacki, Rafael Nadal, and the Williams sisters will be on full display, showcasing tons of killer in-game strategies – the things that help separate them from the pack and enable them to win major titles.
…What serves to use when… examples of maintaining full composure in the most pressure-filled situations, cross court vs down the line, when to rush the net…
…How to play against a lefty like Rafa or a monster server like Roddick, or even learn seamless doubles movement and team chemistry from the Bryan twins.
Yeah, that’s a lot!
Hey, at the Australian Open, we get to view the results from hundreds of thousands of dollars of tennis training by some of the best tennis coaches (…like Piotr Wozniacki, Larry Stefanki, Toni Nadal, and Paul Annacone) live in action. Oh, and did I mention, you don’t have to pay a dime. So take advantage!
While you’re watching the next match, grab a pad and a pen and take notes. And don’t say, “Ahh I’ll remember it.” Write this stuff down.
You could very well pick up some awesome tennis tips at this year’s Australian Open that really add a lot to your game and make you a player who’s incredibly tough to beat.
And you don’t want to ruin that chance because you forgot about it or let it slip your mind.
Have a great tournament…
Brian

This is what think:
best serve: Roddick, Federer, Karlovic, Llodra
forehand: Federer, Nadal, Delpotro(when on)
backhand:Nalbandian, Murray, Nadal
volley: Federer, Karlovic, Llodra
Return: Federer(now he stops dinking), Murray, Nalbandian
@Brian: did you get my picture?
@Tyler: Great observations and thanks for the input Ty. Hopefully you can pick up some other tips from this players as the tournament progresses. And yes, I did get your pic sir. How’s the work going on Facebook and the other blog comments?
I don’t have a facebook.
I also have to add Federer to the backhand list. Its a winning shot for him now. It helped him destroy Doha(’11), Nadal (ATPWorldTourFinals’10) and Lukas Lacko(AO ’11)
