What wonderful those tips are! I use to play a lot of matches during spring and in Montreal, it's not so warm around this time of the year. The temperature barely gets to 13-14 degrees Celsius. All those tricks from Brian will definetily work for me. Thanks a lot!

What a great article!!! I'm going to try all the tips, since this has been a cold winter I've been warming up at home in the tredmill. But with these tips I can go back outside. My spring contenders wont know what hit them when they see how well I've gotten!

Thanks Coach!!!

Usually my area has relatively mild winters, but at my Club we still
put our 16 hartru courts in hibernation during the winter and play on our indoor courts from mid Oct to mid April. When I was younger and didn't have access to such facilities, I played outdoors here in the DC area most of the year so I reccognize as very legitimate your
excellent cold wether tips, but I'm happy I just came from my Monday
tennis on a well lit, 55-60 degree indoor court where we never have to clear off snow.

We play on clay almost all the time and the bounce factor is definitely in play, just as you said. I also think that if you stay positive and more aggressive in the cold your opponent tends to complain more and starts to make excuses because you don't seem to be bothered by the cold.
Thanks!

I live in New York, and it's horrible right now. Thanks for the strategies. The cold decreasing the bounce of the ball is something I never thought about!

Enjoy your holiday!

Brian

I am in Atlanta and we have been experiencing lots of cold weather and the leagues are still playing -- in the cold. I wish I
had had this article around Nov, Dec, Jan but you can believe I will be taking your advice from here on out. I have matches this week, it's still cold and, baby, they are in trouble. I have a little more info under my belt. I am looking for some WINS!!

Thanks, Brian!
