Hi guys,
There are many causes for making errors on the tennis court. One way that can contribute to mistakes is you not mastering a particular stroke. Another way is where your opponent has something to do with it and basically overwhelms you with pace, speed, or a hard-to-get angle.
But the 3rd and most damaging way swings back to you. Not being able to decide on your plan of attack is a very damaging yet very common. Indecisiveness mid-stroke is a mental mistake with no real “technical” components.
But don’t worry haha, it can be corrected. See the video below where I offer an explanation and a few suggestions that should help rid you of this problem.
Just Press Play!
Sidenote: I wanted to say this also, but I had already published the video
. (see below)

You need to tell your brain to shut up in this case. Your mind is what’s making you sweat. It’s the one telling you that you have to be perfect on every shot, and that you should NEVER miss.
…The truth is you DON’T. No player is above an occasional error, even Federer haha. You will get the right one at times, and you’ll get the wrong one at times. Try your best with your most strategic and intelligent guess at the time, and live with it.
Now granted, there is nothing wrong with “trying” to attain perfection out there on the court. But if you go out there “expecting” it all the time, you’re going to get caught every time. Let me know what you thought if this tip, and if it helped you in anyway, or a suggestion of how I can make them better in the future. I’m all ears.
…Remember, I’m still a beginning video editor. wink.
Have a great day, and an even BETTER game!

This is me all the way! Great one. And I love the video
.
Same as Kim… This is a really good one. I really to get caught in the middle a lot. Gotta try this mindset, but it’s hard!
I,m not the only one??? Indecision is my middle name – especially in slower paced matches. Nice video.
Loving all this information. Keep it coming. I am sharing with all
my team members.
Thanks, I can’t wait for the next tip!
You are so adorable!!! I just want to take you home and pick your brain
You’re a genius! You really know how to master the 90% mental part of this game. I was always having problems deciding where I should attack and I was often in a “dead zone”, but after sticking to this important tip, my game and even my behaviour improved. Thanks a lot, Brian!
